We do get upset with the ‘unexpected’ when it occurs. Like it or not, we come face to face with derailed plans, setbacks, halted dreams, unwanted intrusions, and perhaps altered goals. Frustrating, disappointing, exasperating are simply understatements to how we truly feel because it undeniably bogs us down to a huge extent. So we’d rather have it the other way when we get everything down pat on schedule and smoothly without any possible kinks or startling drawbacks.
But look again. What happens when something unforeseen occurs and upsets your applecart, so to speak? Well, aside from pulling hard at your hair in anger or dismay, there is one other thing which I know you do. Don't you ‘push’ yourself to investigate, evaluate, reassess and in effect try for some change to improve things? Of course you do, we all do that. We always do that.
So then instead of being upset by the unfortunate events, why not try something else, like look hard and seek out what the ‘unexpected’ is trying to tell us? Because surely there is something in there (aside from the apparent, of course) --which is calling for our attention…pulling us towards it. Perhaps something we’ve neglected? Glossed over? Forgotten? Ignored? Disregarded?

It always is --- Despite the foul up’s, the bad times, the unhappiness at some point, or the hard driving grueling struggle for fortune and fame. There’s a lot more than just that. A lot more -- And we shouldn’t forget. Ever! :-)
