A friend sent me a long text message on my phone with a beautiful thought in it. But I saw not only one single divine thought in it but several. Allow me to break it down in three parts (#10,11,12). The special text portion in part is at the bottom of each piece.

Small pleasures from simple things -- now that’s easy, you’ll say. But is it really? When was the last time you watched a beautiful sunset? Or walked on the seashore, felt the sand shifting under your feet? How bout sitting down with someone over a hot cup of coffee and a chat? Noticed the warm smile on your mom’s face lately when you gave her a kiss and a tight hug before leaving? Have you tried eating an ice cream cone and licked ice cream dripping down your fingers? Know what the world before you looks like from a bench in the park munching on peanuts? Have you been with your son or nephew together watching a Walt Disney movie on the big screen and shared childlike amusement and glee? Or perhaps cooked your own pan cakes for breakfast? It may not be as perfect as your Mom’s and you probably will burn it halfway through, but it could be fun! Simple things and simple pleasures -- It’s all around us. All we need is to find our simple hearts again.
“Sometimes we put too much passion on the
biggest dreams and priorities in life
that we fail to love the smallest pleasures
from simple things.”
SO THEN LET'S LEARN TO ENJOY THE SMALLEST PLEASURES FROM SIMPLE THINGS TOO.
No. 11 coming up! :-)
