SHINE WITH YOUR GIFT - SHINE WITH YOUR LIGHT
How
sad to see young people simply sit and long for the good life and bright chances
enjoyed by the perceived lucky ones, some talented ones, the rich and
famous, a few overnight sensations, and some bold freaks with their
fifteen minutes of fame for some odd reason or another. That is not a
far-away dream... it can be yours too. The good dream, I must say.
Nobody can be better than you when you decide to become better if not
the best. But first you must want to be the best. Perhaps not always the
best in the world but you can where you are in your own little corner
of the world ..... the best to yourself.
The best homemaker who can cook up a scrumptious lasagna in the
neighborhood anytime... the most giving person at the office -- giving
of his time, expertise, kindness... the most dedicated teacher in the
barrio... the most admired person who created the most beautiful flower
garden this side of town... the most cheerful vendor of 'taho' rain or
shine... a staunch believer and defender of animal rights... the most
honest public servant... the best cop on the block... and so much
more where one's light shines through and out with all of its
brilliance. True value. And that, by any measure human or divine, is
perfect. It fits God's perfect plan for yourself. You'll have God
grinning from ear to ear!
Greatness - potential - happiness is
all there inside of you. Haven't you heard that said and written about a
million times over? All you have to do is peel off the unwanted layers
of insecurity and fear which hold it down. Decide to take up your wings
and fly... soar like an eagle because you are meant to soar. Bloom
where God has planted you in whatever measure or capacity you have been
equipped with. Use it. And that, I must say again, is the divine
blueprint of our human lives.
And to a few still unsure or who think they are quite 'content'..... think about this quote
"What is terrible is to pretend that the second-rate is first rate,
that you don't need love when you do or that you like your work when you
know quite well you're capable of better." - Doris Lessing (England)
Indeed, capable of BETTER!
So then soar! Shine brighter with your light!
Just do it where you are. Shine with your gift.
Make God smile.
